1. Carb-Loaded: A Culture Dying To Eat (2014) Watch For Free
You eat healthy all your life, and suddenly you are diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. “What a f***?” “How come?” “What can I eat now?”
Similarly thought Lathe Poland, a guy who had maintained an average weight for much of his life and was always active. Being encouraged by his wife, Lathe took a challenge to look back on his past food choices by analyzing how he arrived at Type 2 diabetes.
With some research and interviews with medical doctors such as David Perlmutter M.D., Timothy Noakes, and David L. Katz, Lathe Poland came to the idea that his disease might be caused by implementing American modern food culture into his daily life.
How modern food culture looks like? These days we follow up on recommendations of Health Associations and Food Industries to eat enough gluten. We choose more significant meal portions because of economic convenience. We have imprinted a food pyramid into our brain to guide our food choices and are frightened about fats.
And what we’ve got by listening to food authorities? We’ve developed metabolic syndrome, reflected by high blood pressure, excess body fat, abnormal cholesterol levels, etc.
The movie is presented hilariously and entertainingly, so it’s worth your time. By the way, Lathe Poland experimented with a high-protein, low-carb diet and noticed that the more he reduced carb intake, the better his blood control became. Furthermore, Lathe learned that things he knew about healthy nutrition were based on old ideas and widespread myths.
Are you ready to pay the farmer now or pay the doctor later? The answer you can find in the movie.
Director: Lathe Poland
2. Cereal Killers Movie (2013)
Have your mom and dad had diabetes? But you are lean and think you will not get into this dangerous, unhealthy state? Well, maybe it’s great timing to reconsider it for your safety.
Turn your food pyramid upside down and completely get rid of sugar and grain so you can decrease your risk factors for heart disease.
Donal O’Neil, 41 years young man, did so. He eliminated sugar- and grain-laden food and replaced it with a high fat intake (70%). During 28 days of the new way of eating, he lost body fat and weight, increased his lean mass, felt more energetic, improved his athletic performance, etc.
Furthermore, Donal boosted his cholesterol and blood pressure, leaving 0 risks for heart disease, even though his family always faced it.
This movie will teach you how to evaluate your cholesterol levels. Especially if you ever got scared by seeing high LDL levels. There is a bigger picture than that. And they are hidden as LDL particle numbers.
And remember, you don’t get fat from eating fat. You get fat from eating too many grains and sugar that trigger insulin and leptin resistance, leading to chronic inflammation.

3. Run On Fat: Cereal Killers 2 (2015)
Are you a pre-diabetic athlete looking to get more out of your workout? If so, it’s excellent timing to learn surprising things about sports nutrition and eliminate your health issue.
“Run On Fat” is the greatest keto-adapted endurance experiment you will ever see! And it is the follow-up to the famous “Cereal Killers” movie that introduced low-carb & high-fat diet effects on health, while “Run On That” focuses on athletic endurance during the Keto journey.
This documentary demonstrates how world-class pre-diabetic triathlete Sami Inkinen, with his wife Meredith, takes a challenge to row 4000 km unsupported from California to Hawaii. The only support was a fat-fueled body and mind. Sami and Meredith made this journey to raise awareness about the dangers of sugar and processed carbohydrates. And they succeeded. This proves there is no need for carbs, gels, candy bars, or even sports drinks when exercising.
And what about Sami’s pre-diabetic state? Well, with consultation from Drs. Stephen Phinney and Jeff Volek on using nutritional ketosis, Sami Inkinen not only improved his athletic performance but also reversed his pre-diabetic state to a very healthy Sami state.
This movie dramatically brings awareness to your nutrition. It may draw you to consider changing your sports nutrition approach so you beat your endurance records and regain your health!

5. FAT: A Documentary (2019)
“FAT” is a pretty new documentary, receiving tons of compliments for revealing the truth. The facts shared in the “FAT” documentary may shake certain beliefs you thought about healthy eating and living. Especially if your weight skyrockets and you feel depressed and grumpy.
The story begins with the ugly true history of how America became so unhealthy. And it has to do with misinformation about nutrition we have been told about for more than 150 years. Even though many apply new diets and use exercise machines, 40% of the population is obese. Furthermore, physicians are not educated about food nutrition; instead, they are masters in following the protocols and temporarily fixing patients’ problems with pills. But you know where a temporary solution leads…
The good news is that it’s not too late to improve your health by understanding that fat is not our enemy, the sugar is. Sugar hides in every processed and price convenience food.
Take a responsibility to educate yourself on what is good and bad for your health. And don’t point middle fingers at the government and food industries for your health issues. Everything is up to you, your precious health too.

6. Fat Chance – LCHF (2017) Watch For Free
You can improve your cycling endurance by becoming a “fat cyclist,” as Warren Hepworth did. The young cyclist rode from Perth to Melbourne (2,100 miles / 3,400 km) on a low-carbohydrate and high-fat diet.
Was it easy? Warren trusted the “Fat Chance” process and was absolutely perplexed and awed by how fat fuel of delicious dishes such as Bocconcini stuffed meatballs in creamy red source, etc., can increase energy levels.
Would you like to do many multi-day rides or century rides smoothly? If so, “Fat Chance” will inspire you to change your metabolism to “fat adapted.”
Director: Warren Hepsworth
7. Fat, Sick And Nearly Dead (2010) Watch For Free
Are you 100 pounds overweight? More? Less? Well, dear reader, you are not alone and you can change this situation. Despite still being able to carry his enormous belly, Joe Cross, an Australian filmmaker, felt like one foot already in the grave.
Achieving a balanced lifestyle requests Joe to leave conventional medicine. And he decides to take an extreme approach going on an all-juice fast for 2 months leading to getting off pills and improved health.
Joe’s experience with juice fasting is so powerful that even migraine headaches suffering Siong Norte gives a 10 days juice fast and succeeds. Joe also helps a truck driver (Phil Staples) to get rid of morbid obesity and inspires the driver to become a holistic health coach.

9. Fed Up (2014) Watch For Free
“Vegetable is a great source for your nutrition”, – you might hear. “And pizza is counted as a vegetable,” claims US Congress. Really?
Do you choose low-fat food, follow the advice “eat less, exercise more,” and still get bigger? What a contradiction!
The food industry has a powerful tool to control people, especially those who make unconscious decisions about their meals, snacks, and beverages. If you find yourself grabbing a chocolate bar in every grocery, and once melted, all eaten, you crave more – you are addicted to sugar. And food industry uses this fact by expanding your “sugary joy moments” and loading this addictive ingredient into almost all foods. Furthermore, such sugary food remarkably leads children to the path of the 1st generation living shorter lives than their parents.
Basta! t’s time for recovery, not chronic inflammation leading to death! It’s time to face reality and not to let the food industry make full of us!
Director: Stephanie Soecht

This movie draws obstacles and hurdles a family goes through with a child experiencing seizures. And at the same time, you can feel the unconditional parent love to find a pain-free and least dangerous solution for their son.
Even though the boy’s mother (actress: Meryl Streep) (actor: Seth Atkins) finds potential functional alternative therapy for epilepsy, the boy’s doctor rejects it, claiming the Ketogenic diet’s effectiveness is anecdotal. And here, the mother’s fight for a brighter son tomorrow starts.
The moral of the story: never trust a doctor blindly; always do your research which can save and improve your little’s life.
Director: Jim Abrahams

12. King Corn (2007) Watch For Free
You might hear people in Africa die because of a lack of food and water. But what about other continents?
We die because of excess toxic food and lack of adequate nutrition! Our plates are loaded with corn which does more harm than good. And 2 friends embarking on corn farming reveal the story of corporate greed, costing our lives.
“King Corn” presents interviews with farmers and challenges to go “corn-free.” Do you think you don’t eat corn? Well, it might be everywhere, even hidden in ice cream as a high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), enhancing its flavor and smoothness. Loving meat? If so, you should know that most farm-raised cattle are corn-fed, leading cows to die within a year. If the corn is so toxic to the cows, can you imagine the damage to your body?
Maybe this documentary appears too scary or sad, but you have a right to know how the invisible-looking corn sneaks into your diet and may affect your health negatively.

For instance, 1 of the individuals – a small girl with autism – experiences epilepsy, central sleep apnea, and constipation. And her parents took a step forward to treat the little’s health differently. And once she and the other documentary individuals started to embrace fat as their primary fuel, they began to experience stunning changes in their health.

After this documentary, you may realize that eating healthy food costs less in the long term. While eating inflammatory foods may damage health and wallet content for sure.
I wish everyone I cared for and loved would watch this film.
